I am interested in election studies, polling, electoral behavior, and political education. In particular, I am really interested in first-time voters and the reasons for their electoral participation or the lack thereof.

I am a second-year student pursuing an MS degree in Survey and Data Science. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Iceland (UI). As an undergraduate, I worked as a teaching assistant in the department of Political Science at UI (courses focused on practical statistics, questionnaires, data analysis, and inferences) and as a research assistant for the Icelandic National Election Study (ICENES). I have done research on the socialization effect of mock elections on the electoral participation and democratic awareness of high school students in Iceland. I am also the secretary to the board of the Nordic Political Science Association (NoPSA).
