Student Research Opportunities

The Institute for Social Research is home to many projects that provide opportunities for students to engage in research. Dewey is an academic research platform that consolidates premium datasets across a variety of categories all in one location for your easy access. University of Michigan’s Institute for Social Research now has a school-wide license unlocking new third party data!

Who can access Dewey?

  • ISR employees
  • Individuals who are working on projects originating at ISR/PI is at ISR (e.g. post-docs, trainees), noting that they can only use these data for the ISR-originated project
  • Faculty and trainees who have gone through an affiliate approval process with an ISR center director (e.g., approved Population Dynamics and Health Program faculty affiliates)
