Research Interest:

Broadly, my research interests surround social determinants of health and education outcomes among racial minorities. I am interested in improving representation of minority populations and mitigating health disparities through survey research. Additionally, I am interested in mitigating nonresponse bias, and sampling hard-to-reach populations.

Current Research/Work:

I am working as a Graduate Research Assistant under the supervision of Dr. Sunghee Lee. The current project focuses on utilizing Respondent Driven Sampling as a means for examining injection drug use in the context of harm reduction and healthy aging.

I have completed my Survey and Data Science certificate. I have also received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, where I participated in the NIH-NIGMS Research Training Initiative for Student Enhancement (RISE) Program, assisting in research on HIV/AIDS prevention. During my undergraduate tenure, I also studied abroad at the University of Ghana in Accra, Ghana. Prior to pursuing a my current degree, I obtained a Master’s of Public Health in Health Behavior and Health Education from The University of Michigan School of Public Health. I am also a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
