You will use data science methods to measure and map surface characteristics of urban areas (e.g., tree and vegetation cover, solar reflectivity, perviousness) and analyze how these characteristics influence the distribution of environmental benefits and burdens (especially heat and water) that in turn influence human health and the resilience, social equity and economic performance of cities.
