Zupeng Zeng is a first-year Master’s student in the Michigan Program in Survey and Data Science (MPSDS) at the University of Michigan. He earned a B.S. in Data Science with a double major in Sociology from William & Mary, where he developed strong foundations in quantitative analysis and applied social research.
Zupeng currently works as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Social Research on the Survey of Consumer Attitudes (SCA), supporting data processing, quality assurance, and trend-focused analysis of monthly survey datasets. Previously, he worked at AidData as a Data Support Associate, conducting open-source research and compiling and validating large-scale international development finance data for stakeholder-ready summaries. Bilingual in English and Mandarin, he is interested in applied survey research and data-driven policy analysis, and is seeking a Summer 2026 internship where he can contribute rigorous analytics and reproducible research workflows to a collaborative team.
