Research Interest:
Jessica has previously conducted research on banking deserts in low-income Latinx communities. Currently, she is working on DEI campus climate studies and intends to continue working on research involving racial disparities.

Jessica is originally from Los Angeles, California and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics at California State University Long Beach in Long Beach, California. She is a first-generation Latina and is very passionate about advocating for her community. She is currently involved on campus as event and logistics chair for PUENTES, the Latino graduate student organization at the University of Michigan. On her free time, she enjoys trying new recipes in the kitchen, roller-skating, and playing sports.
