The Rensis Likert Survey Methodology Lab
MPSDS doctoral students run the Likert Survey Methodology Lab, a weekly forum open to all current and visiting students at MPSDS. Students learn, share ideas, and explore current research in survey and data science through faculty and student presentations, journal articles, book discussions, and conversations with visiting professionals. The lab is funded through the Likert Funds and the Rackham Interdisciplinary Workshop program.

Rackham Student Government
Some MPSDS students get involved with Rackham’s Student Government (RSG). Executive and Legislative Board members engage with their constituents about needs, interests, and desires relevant to graduate students within four divisions (Biological and Health Sciences, Physical Sciences and Engineering, Social and Behavioral Science, and Humanities and the Arts. This collaborative effort is an ongoing engagement that we hope can improve the quality of the experience for graduate students across U-M. Much of this work is done through members’ participation in the following committees: academic affairs, affordability and access solutions, budgetary, communications, legislative affairs, professional development, and student life.
